POLAR BLACK
2012 - 58 pagesThese strips started as a way to entertain myself my last year of secondary school. I was really depressed, and i was tired of drawing with a fineliner pen, so I thought i'd make something with a brush. I had no intention of publishing them at all, but some months later I sent them in to a competition in the national newspaper Dagbladet. It got a third place and was printed 5 days a week for 3 months. I learned a lot of things from being funny on a tight deadline. Most importantly to let someone else be the judge of the quality of my stuff. I also learned that making strips as a full-time job really wasn't for me. Looking back at my teenage edgy humor today is not fun, but it still is a part of me. And someone liked them, so who am I to judge.
